Lenovo has unveiled their latest suite of AI-Powered Devices and Experiences at IFA, with new Legion gaming gear and mobile devices including new Motorola phones and updated Legion Go 2 handheld.
One of the more anticipated parts of the launch is the Legion Go 2nd Gen, their windows based handheld gaming device which was shown off earlier this year at CES.
This latest Legion Go will be powered by the AMD Z2 and AMD Z2 Extreme processor with up to 32GB RAM and up to 2TB of storage depending on model. Lenovo has improved ergonomics on the detachable TrueStrike Controllers and it now comes with a 55.5Whr battery offering more gaming time
The big update is the gorgeous 8.8-inch OLED touch display with a variable 144Hz refresh rate. The panel is VESA TrueBlack 1000 Certified and includes support for 97% DCI-P3 gamut and up to 500nits brightness.
Lenovo will retain a lot of the features of the original, including the built-in touchpad and kickstand, as well as the dual USB 4 ports, and the ability to use one of the controllers as a vertical mouse.
Local pricing hasn’t been announced, however the system looks to be launching globally next month and we’ll have more local details as they’re announced.
The Legion Pro 7 gaming laptop and new LOQ Tower desktop come powered by AMD’s Ryzen 9000 HX series processors and AMD Ryzen 8000 series processors, with NVIDIA RTX GPUs on offer.
The Legion Pro 7 will be powered by up to AMD Ryzen 9955HX processor with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPUup to 2TB Gen 5 2280 PCIe SSD storage and up to 32GB of 5600MHz DDR5 RAM.
The Legion Pro 7 of course comes with a bright, responsive and beautiful 16” PureSight WQXGA OLED display offering 240Hz refresh rate with a 0.08ms response time.
The latest LOQ Desktop is the first ever 26L tower in the line, and is powered by AMD Ryzen 8000 series processors with options for NVIDIA 50-Series GPUs.
The tower includes customisable ARGB lighting visible through the transparent side panel for that true gamer aesthetic, and provides ample room for updating. The tower can include up to 64GB RAM, and 4TB SSD storage, with two HDD expansion slots for long term storage.
As a subsidiary of Lenovo, Motorola have also announced some new devices at IFA with the new edge 60 neo, as well as the budget friendly new moto g06 and moto g06 power.
The motorola edge 60 is a light and compact phone, with durability in mind, including IP68/69 protection, Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and MIL-STD-810H certification
The phone includes a 6.4” display with up to 3000 nits of brightness and ultra-narrow bezels. The phone is powered by a Media Tek processor with a 5,000mAh battery that delivers up to 44 hours of battery life.
Motorola include a triple rear camera system headlined by a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C sensor which includes Optical Image Stabilisation. There’s also a 13MP Ultraw-Wide and 10MP Telephoto with 3x Optical zoom and 30X ‘Super Zoom’
The moto g06 and moto g06 power include expansive 6.88” HD+ resolution displays with a high brightness mode capable of up to 600 nits and wet mode letting you easily navigate your display even with wet fingers.
The phones include a MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme chipset with up to 12GB of RAM, as well as Motorola’s RAM Boost, and will come with a range of storage options up to 256GB with microSD card support – though what will launch here in Australia isn’t announced yet.
While Motorola hasn’t mentioned the moto g06, the moto g06 power will come with a massive 7000mAh battery.
The phones include a 50MP camera system on the rear with 2-in-1 light sensor for faster focus, and an 8MP sensor on the front.
Moving to more portable options, Lenovo has also announced a new Yoga Tab for ‘ creative professionals and digital natives’, as well as the ultra-light Idea Tab Plus for everyday content creation.
The Yoga Tab comes powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
The 11.1” 3.2K resolution PureSight Pro display is capableof up to 800 nits peak brightness with 144Hz refresh rate. To complement the display, Lenovo are including a 4-speaker system tuned by Dolby Atmos.
The Yoga Tab is also the debut of a new battery tech, with Lenovo using a new silicon-carbon battery, with the 8860 mAh battery able to stream YouTube videos for up to 12 hours.
Lenovo will offer a range of options for the tablet, including a 2-in-1 keyboard pack, as well as the Lenovo Tab Pen Pro with 8192 levels of pressure for any big art projects.
The Idea Tab Plus offers a thin and light option for everyday use – weighing in at just 530grams and it’s just 6.29mm thin. The tablet includes a 12.1” 2.5K resolution display, that can blast out up to 800 nits brightness with quad Dolby Atmos tuned speakers.
Powered by the Media Tek Dimensity 6400 with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage, the tablet includes a large 10,200 mAh battery capable of up to 13 hours of video playback.
Lenovo will offer the Idea Tab Plus in three colours: Luna Grey, Cloud Grey and Sand Rose, though we’ll see what options arrive locally.
