AI is front and centre once again, with Samsung making multiple AI announcements at IFA 2025 with its Vision AI Companion being unveiled alongside an announcement that they will be bringing Copilot to its 2025 TVs and monitors for a ‘smarter on-screen experience.’

Vision AI Companion

Vision AI Companion is the next evolution of AI-powered displays across compatible Samsung TVs and monitors. It is designed to deliver a natural interaction between the consumer and a new, smarter Bixby voice assistant while at the same time integrating Samsung’s advanced AI features into a single experience.

Coming to Australia on compatible 2025 Smart TVs, Vision AI Companion looks to bring the TV to the centre of a connected home. The addition of AI into the ecosystem enables personalised recommendations, smarter device interactions and more support for your everyday life.

“With Vision AI Companion, we are redefining what a TV can do, going beyond picture quality and sound to deliver an experience that understands you, interacts with you and evolves with you over time,” said Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Customer Experience Team at the Visual Display Business of Samsung Electronics.

The AI innovations that Vision AI Companion incorporates into the single experience include generative wallpaper customisation, AI Picture, Active Voice Amplifier Pro and AI Upscaling Pro, AI Gaming mode, and now Copilot, available as a standalone AI agent.

Vision AI Companion will begin rolling out as a software update later this year with Australian compatibility and dates available soon.

Copilot coming to 2025 TVs and monitors

Building on Samsung’s AI commitment, Copilot will now be integrated into the displays of select monitors and TVs, enabling users to access the Microsoft AI with a voice command or a click of the remote. This can be used to search, learn, or interact with content directly from their screens.

“Copilot makes it fun and easy to quickly get what you need through tailored experiences, whether you’re learning something new, enjoying entertainment, tackling everyday tasks or more,” said Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Customer Experience Team at the Visual Display (VD) Business of Samsung Electronics.

Copilot brings a ‘more contextual smart display experience’ enabling Copilot to function within Samsung Daily+, the lifestyle hub that offers services to consumers, including entertainment, wellness, food and more.

Copilot will be accessible through the Samsung Tizen OS home and Samsung Daily+, allowing users to receive personalised recommendations and relevant information at any time.
