MacBook Pro gets under the hood upgrade with M5 chip at the same price

Apple’s 14 inch MacBook pro has bene given an under the hood upgrade with the new M5 Apple Silicon, upgrading from the previous M4 chip announced in the device less than a year ago today.

The price remains the same at $2,499 but it’s all about incremental performance upgrades. 3.5 times AI performance and 1.6 times faster Graphics.

SSD speeds are also faster, ideal for pro level rendering and things like importing RAW images.

You can now pack it with up to 4TB of storage, up from 2TB in the previous generation, and the battery life remains epic at 24 hours.

While the entry price remains the same, if you want eye-watering, you can spec it up with 4TB of storage, 32GB of Unified Memory, a Nano-texture display (Highly recommended) and you’ll get $1 change from $5,200!

Pro performance comes at a price, and this is a great device in a sweet spot for size and performance all round.
