Modern digital cameras, as a rule, are still better than smartphone cameras in many imaging scenarios. The problem using them though, is that often the user does not know how to get the best out of them.
To combat this and give folks a taste of what is actually available on the market, Fujifilm is hosting a Creator Summit in Melbourne next year, following on from the success of the same event in Sydney this year. On Saturday, May 9, 2026, Australia’s leading content creation festival, the ‘Creator Summit: Powered by Fujifilm’, will take place at The Timber Yard in Port Melbourne.

With over 20 sessions and 15 popular creators covering photography, filmmaking, and content creation, the summit will allow attendees not just to get hands-on with the latest gear from Fujifilm but also to receive advice and instruction on how to get the most out of it.
Other leading creative brands, such as ALPAKA, BenQ, Adobe, ATOMOS, MiSi, Leofoto, and Nanlite, will also be in attendance to provide interactive demos and workshops.
The summit is not just for those creating content but for all who want to be more creative with their lenses in the world and capture it artistically, so if that’s you, you may want to head along, I know I will be.

Workshops and panels include:
- Hit Record Live – an interactive session where attendees can step behind the lens to help film a live music video, complete with lights, a band and on-the-spot direction.
- Café De Paris: Portraiture Meets Performance – a très chic Parisian dreamscape set where attendees can learn to capture light, theatre, and texture.
- Turning Missteps into Creative Breakthroughs – a guide on how to turn mistakes into momentum and a creative passion into a successful career.
Tickets to the Creator Summit: Powered by Fujifilm are available now at the early-bird price of $29, down from the usual $59. The price includes tickets to all sessions and workshops, as well as a swag bag valued at over $250.
