On the phone old school – the POP Phone with USB-C is a perfect gift idea!

With kids about to be kicked off social media, perhaps they’ll regress to the old school ways of their parents and jump on the phone to each other to catch up every day? The POP Phone from Native Union might be the ideal gift for the kids, or the Gen X or Millenial in your life.

The POP Phone isn’t new, but over a decade ago we didn’t have the uniformity of USB-C across smartphones. Today, your Android or your Apple phone will be a simple plug and play with the POP Phone with USB-C.

There is something utterly simplistic about holding a handset up to your ear like this instead of holding a smartphone – have you ever had that moment where you’re not really sure if the speaker of the phone is right on your ear, or if you’re speaking properly into the microphone? No mistakes when you go old school.

POP Phone could be the simplest gadget I’ve reviewed – I mean in reality it’s a USB-C plug into your phone and a wire that doesn’t detach to a handset with complete simplicity.

There is a single button on the handset, in the middle of the unit which will either pickup or hang up your call. That’s it.

At , it’s not cheap, but the quality is reallyh high, it’s a strong plastic, high quality cable and plug.

There are certainly cheaper rip-off models around the traps, but trust in their connection and audio quality are what you risk.

POP Phone comes in five different colours, so something for everyone!

I might keep one at home and the office, this is for sure how I’ll be doing all my radio segments from now on – it’s just more comfortable to be on the phone this way!

All in all, my take on the new Native Union POP Phone is quality – every bit of it exudes quality which is what you want.
