Last year at CES 2025, Alienware introduced its award-winning lineup of QD-LED monitors, and this year it is bringing that same technology to its laptops in the form of anti-glare OLED displays.

Alienware laptops with OLED displays

The first two laptops to receive the new premium anti-glare OLED displays will be the Alienware 16 Area-51 and Alienware 16X Aurora.  The new panels reduce gloss by nearly a third, minimising glare, reflections and fingerprint smudges.

The OLED panels offer innovative specs with a 0.2ms response time, HDR True Black 500, 620 nits Peak HDR Brightness, 120% DCI-P3 Colour Volume, are VESA HDR ClearMR 9000 Certified and have an anti-glare coating that diffuses any reflections without affecting colour accuracy or vibrancy.

The updated gaming laptops feature Pixel Protection, powered by included AI software to manage the health of the new OLED panel, and durable build quality, with 15kg of lid pressure testing.

The 16-inch laptops aren’t the only Alienware laptops seeing some love this year, with the Alienware 18 Area-51 gaming laptop receiving a significant performance bump with it, and the two laptops mentioned above, now featuring new Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs.

New Alienware laptops

Alienware has announced that it will be expanding its gaming lineup with new ultra-slim (~17mm thick) devices that will still pack high-performance capabilities.

The new laptops will include a 16-inch model with a volume nearly 50% smaller than the current Area-51 16-inch laptops.  It may not hit the peaks of the bigger Area-51 laptops but still delivers serious gaming performance with NVIDIA graphics and new efficient CPUs.

The new ultraslim Alienware laptops will arrive in both 14- and 16-inch variants, balancing gaming and creative performance with portability.

Aside from these new laptops, Alienware will also introduce an entry-level gaming laptop.   Although the specs on that are sparse at this stage, it is expected to carry Alienware’s build quality, thermals and performance.

Area-51 Gaming Desktop

The Alienware Area-51 Gaming Desktop was a standout last year with its high-end performance in a great-looking case.  The 80L case has been redesigned again in partnership with AMD to bring the best-in-class AMD processors to the Area 51 platform.

The flagship Area 51 desktop will be configured with the upcoming Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor and 3D V-Cache technology, allowing users to game AAA titles at maximum settings without a blip.
