As expected, AI is the talk of CES 2026 and eyewear technology goes back to the heady (no pun intended) days of the Google I/O conference way back in 2012 but it is only recently that the concept is starting to take off again.
This is where MagitiQ comes in. At their stand at CES 2026 they are demonstrating their ultra-small module that attaches to any eyeglasses to bring “AI -powered overlays and contextual information” to standard eyewear.
The module, weighing only 4 grams and measuring 12mm X 12mm X 12mm attaches to your existing glasses, sees what you see on a screen, whether that be a computer, mobile phone or TV, interprets the content, recognises objects, text, faces and scenes and serves to you enriched information in your field of view. The MagitiQ module focusses on what you are focussing on and delivers relevant information only on that particular item.

As an example and obviously because it is US based they say that watching the basketball would be enhanced by overlaying stats such as scores, assists, steals etc for players
Movie watching would also be customised by displaying actor details, movie history & information, cinematic techniques utilised and more. All the stuff you currently look up on your second screen from sites such as IMDB

But it’s not only one way communication. The MagitiQ boasts an AI chatbot experience to tailor the experience through natural language.
The device is not confined to TV viewing as it may also be utilised in web based activity such as shopping and browsing by recognising text and images, delivering overlays such as product reviews and research. Tasks that would normally take place in a separate tab
Now these are big claims and we are yet to get our hands on them but if they can deliver upon their promises this could be a game-changer
More details such as price, release date and availability to come
