Hot on the heels of parent company Lenovo’s gaming and consumer releases, Motorola has unveiled the new Moto Tag 2 with improved battery life, durability and Bluetooth 6.
The updated Moto Tag 2 will again be a top-tier entry for anyone looking to use an Android Find Hub compatible tracker including UWB technology making it very easy to find.
The Moto Tag 2 will also add Bluetooth“Channel Sounding” – a new feature of Bluetooth 6 which improves location tracking by giving a more accurate and secure distance measurement between devices.
The Moto Tag 2 will require your phone or tablet to have UWB or Bluetooth 6 to take advantage of the accurate UWB and Channel Sounding location, with Android 16 also a requirement – so we should see the moto Razr phones being updated quickly, however the Pixel 10 series should work in the meantime.
The existing moto Tag had a 1-year battery life, however the 2nd generation will bump that up to 500 days with the battery again user-replaceable. The moto Tag 2 will also get a bump to IP68 making it able to handle water a little better.
Motorola hasn’t announced whether we will see the moto tag 2 in Australia yet, but it’s been priced at €39 (around $68AUD) and will hit the US in the coming months.
