Lenovo has introduced an innovative concept at CES 2026: a horizontal rollable display on a gaming laptop!

The Legion Pro Rollable Concept is a 16-inch gaming laptop – but not really.  That 16-inch display expands to 21.5 or 24 inches for those needing to train on the wider-screen format.

E-sports athletes compete on 24-inch and larger displays, and this new rollable concept offers them (and others) the ability to train and practice on a display that cuts the mustard.  The laptop’s performance can also replicate what they would see in a competition.

The display is a rollable Lenovo PureSight OLED gaming display that rolls out from each end, thanks to a dual-motor system that extends and retracts it smoothly.  The tension in the display keeps it tau,t and any abrasion of the display while in motion is prevented by low-friction materials in the mechanisms. 

Each different size that the display converts to has a purpose.  The 16-inch mode, or Focus Mode, is for “refining precision mechanics and improving reflexes.”  21.5-inch, or Tactical Mode, is for “training peripheral awareness, rotation drills and team coordination,” while the 24” is for Arena Mode and “elite competitive training and overall team cohesiveness.”

Under the hood, the performance specs are based on the Legion Pro 7i, complete with Intel Core Ultra processors and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU.  Featuring NVIDIA Blackwell, these laptop GPUs bring pro-level performance, and when combined with the AI horsepower inside, the laptop is capable of next-level graphics quality.

The concept is designed to allow esports professionals and casual gamers alike game in various ways wherever they are in the world.
