After a couple of seasons supporting a single SuperUte entry in the V8 SuperUte series, Uniden Australia has announced a partnership with the series overall and new support for Christopher Formosa on the grid in 2026.
“V8 SuperUtes is one of the most rugged and high-energy categories in Australian motorsport, and we’re proud to partner with the championship for 2026,” said Brad Hales, Head of Marketing Oceania at Uniden. “It’s a natural fit for Uniden and the drivers and fans who live and breathe performance, reliability and life on the road.”

This step up is of course well received by the series itself, with Filippa Guarna, Category Manager at the Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series, saying “We’re thrilled to welcome Uniden to the Tyrepower V8 SuperUte Series for 2026. Partnerships like this help strengthen the category for teams and enthusiasts alike, as well as our associations with the automotive market, and Uniden is genuinely committed to the championship and growth of this sport.”
It all kicks off this weekend at Sydney Motorsport Park where the Tyrepower SuperUtes will be a support category for the Supercar series first round.
And there will be a Uniden ute on the grid! This year, Uniden is supporting Christopher “Jazz Hands” Formosa and the family-run Allgate racing team.

Formosa said, “Allgate Racing is family-run, and we’ve worked hard to earn our place on the grid. Having Uniden on board for 2026 is huge, and we can’t wait to represent the brand on track.”
And for EFTM Fans, thanks to Uniden, the EFTM logo will be proudly shown on the rear quarter of the #49 on the grid this year!
