It’s all rumour and speculation, but that’s half the fun of trying to predict what one of the largest companies in the world is about to do when secrecy is at the core of their business. EFTM has now seen images and videos of “dummy” versions of the 2026 iPhone flagship lineup and things are about to be turned on their head with the Apple Smartphone range.
Firstly, the long rumoured “Foldable” iPhone looks certain now, in a Microsoft Duo sized form factor vastly different to that which Samsung and OPPO are using for their foldable devices.
Apple’s Fold – judging by these photos will take from the iPhone Air in being super thin, while adding an extra rear camera to ensure it doesn’t have the same negative camera reviews as the iPhone Air.

It’s a wide screen when folded shut, and more like a tablet when opened up, likely to be used in either horizontal or vertical format depending on what you’re consuming.
Another clue from these images is the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max Models, which appear to continue the design styling of the iPhone 17 Pro range, though the magenta/pink looking sample might also be a clue to a new feature colour from Apple to get the same “pop” as last year’s Orange model.
What’s not shown is also critical, each year around this time we see a leak of a range of models to be released in September. That there are only Pro and Foldable models could indicate that Apple is splitting it’s smartphone range in two.

September 2026 to see the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro max and iPhone Fold. What’s possible is that in early 2027, likely March, Apple will launch the iPhone 18, along with the iPhone 18e and possibly the next generation of the iPhone Air.
Even if the speculation is only partly true, things look set to shake up in Apple’s iPhone range from this year on.
Samsung of course will be giggling, as they prepare to launch their eighth generation Foldable later this year.
