Smart home company Aqara has announced the Australian launch of the world’s first Matter-certified camera, the Camera Hub G350.
The Matter certification for the G350 means that it offers compatibility across all the leading ecosystems, such as Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa and SmartThings. It does all this, offering live view, two-way audio and alerts across all these platforms and more within the Matter-enabled ecosystems.
Not only is the G350 a camera, but also a smart home hub with a Zigbee hub, Matter Controller and Matter bridge all built into the device.

The camera features a 4K wide-angle camera with a 2.5K telephoto lens, offering up to 9X hybrid zoom. The G350 offers 360-degree coverage thanks to its advanced pan-tilt mechanism.
AI-powered smart tracking helps the camera keep people and pets in frame, with on-device AI detecting and evaluating events and sounds, and alerting you only to what matters. Video and alerts can be stored locally on a microSD card or via NAS backup, or in the cloud, based on your preference.
For added privacy, when turned off, the camera lens rotates upwards and is hidden away by the device.
