Bose have released details of their new Lifestyle collection lineup including smart speaker, soundbar and subwoofer, designed to work together to create flexible audio solutions for the home.

Bose promote that the new Lifestyle range has been built with their most advanced proprietary audio technology and are designed to build a whole-home audio solution by allowing flexible configurations of these three flagship audio devices.

The Lifestyle range consists of

  • The Bose Lifestyle Ultra Speaker
  • The Bose Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar
  • The Bose Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer

The Ultra Speaker

The Ultra Speaker can be set up in stereo pairs or multi-speaker configurations with each speaker comprising of three drivers – two front-facing and one up-firing to provide rich immersive sound, even from a single unit.

Bose’s TrueSpatial audio processing technology promises to deliver “exceptional bass from a compact design by combining the speaker’s woofer, a proprietary QuietPort acoustic opening, and advanced digital signal processing to deliver deep, controlled low-frequency sound”

The Bose Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar

Bose state that their new soundbar is their first major soundbar redesign in over a decade. Featuring six full-range drivers — two up-firing and four front-facing — a centre tweeter, and two additional Bose proprietary PhaseGuide drivers.

These PhaseGuide drivers are designed to add dimensions, placing sound where no speakers exist, allowing sound to fill the room. The soundbar is ready to play Dolby Atmos content but if not available then their TrueSpatial technology fills the void, literally.

As every home theatre owner (or anybody just trying to replicate cinema sound) can tell you, dialogue can be a problem, no matter the equipment or budget. Bose claim that their SpeechClarity technology “applies Bose’s AI-driven speech augmentation to isolate and enhance dialogue, offering adjustable levels so voices stay crisp”

The Bose Lifestyle Ultra Subwoofer

The final offering in the Lifestyle Collection is the Ultra Subwoofer. This wireless thumping piece of kit promises to deliver deep, controlled bass. Something Bose is renowned for. Bose state that “When paired with the Lifestyle Ultra Soundbar and Speakers, it takes on the demanding task of reproducing the lowest frequencies with cinematic impact, allowing the rest of the system to focus on mids and highs for clearer dialogue and more open, detailed sound”

The Bose Lifestyle Ultra Collection

“With the Lifestyle Collection, we wanted every detail to serve a singular purpose: making exceptional sound easy to enjoy,” said Raza Haider, president, premium consumer audio, Bose Corporation. “The flexibility, refined aesthetic, and experience are all built to fit into life at home, delivering on the one central promise that has defined Bose for decades: that sound matters.”

The entire system utilises Bose’s own app and connects over Wi-Fi supporting Google Cast, Apple AirPlay, and Spotify Connect and can be grouped with other third-party speakers that work through the Google Home app or Apple AirPlay to create a unified listening experience. Bluetooth is supported and the Ultra collection has Alexa built-in.
