Google has today announced its latest iteration of the Chromebook, the Googlebook, designed to be the ultimate companion for Gemini Intelligence.

Including not only the Chrome browser and Android apps through Google Play but also an operating system designed for Gemini, the new Googlebook is powered by premium hardware to fit seamlessly into the user’s life.

Googlebooks are designed to deliver personal, proactive help exactly when and where you need it most – how AI should be.

The new Googlebooks start with the new view of the cursor, now changed to the Magic Pointer on Googlebooks which brings Gemini to your fingertips.  Simply move the cursor (Magic Pointer) and Gemini will pop up with quick, contextual suggestions simply by pointing at something on your screen.

Googlebooks will also allow you to new create your own widgets simply by prompting the system, with the ability to connect your Google apps into a single personalised dashboard.  Your entire life can be viewed and organised into a single widget.

The Googlebooks will seamlessly integrate with your Android smartphone, allowing you to easily switch between them.  The new Googlebooks will run their own apps on-device but can also directly use apps from your smartphone on their own displays.

The seamless integration lets you do everything you would normally do on your smartphone on the new Googlebook screen.  The laptop will also have access to all files stored on your Android smartphone, without th indeed to have to transfer them across.

The new Googlebooks will start appearing in stores later this year, with devices from partners such as Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP and Lenovo expected to lead the lineup.  How will you know it’s a Googlebook though?  With the compulsory and unique glowbar that every Googlebook will feature.
