Despite the fuel crisis slowing down and prices getting back to relatively normal levels, the move to Electric vehicles is surging still because we’re all now well aware how volatile those petrol prices can be. And for professional drivers and business owners cutting costs by swapping fuel for electricity is becoming more of a reality with new options like the LDV eDeliver 5 hitting the market.
This all-electric delivery or tradie van will start at $47,990 with three model options available.

Electric range will be between 300 and 335km depending on the model.
There’ll be two long wheelbase versions in low or high roof, while the short wheelbase will be low roof only. The company has air freighted in the first example ahead of customer deliveries in July.

It’s not the first electric van, LDV has had two previous models, and KIA is readying their PV5 for the market while Farizon also starts to chip away at the Aussie market. Expect your local delivery driver to consider their cost of running options in the years ahead as range and payloads go up.
“There has been a seismic shift in consumer behaviour due to recent geo-political tensions, fuel insecurity, and surging diesel costs,” said Dinesh Chinnappa, the General Manager of LDV Australia.
“With that in mind we brought forward our plans to introduce the LDV eDeliver 5 to the Australian market, which is why stock will initially be limited.”
“The LDV eDeliver 5 brings a modern and highly capable electric van for less than the price of most diesel vans.

“With its combination of price, practicality, range and payload the LDV eDeliver 5 will suit many small business operators.
“LDV has been one of the pioneers of the electric van segment in Australia and we are pleased to broaden our range to ensure there is a choice of vehicle sizes and price points.”
