Last week we reviewed the Logitech G Pro X3 Superstrike gaming mouse, released at Logitech G PLAY 2026 alongside several other new gaming products. One of these other new additions to the premium gaming lineup from Logitech G is the Pro X2 Rapid gaming keyboard, built with speed and accuracy in mind.

The most important feature of a high-quality gaming keyboard is rapid response times. This feature gives you a split-second advantage over opponents in competitive games, and Logitech G focused on it when building the Pro X2 Rapid, which features all-new magnetic analog switches, improved response times, and more options to customise your gaming experience.

The Logitech G Pro X2 Rapid wired keyboard features custom POM Magnetic Hall Effect Analog Switches and custom sound-dampening layers for a smooth, accurate keypress, an OLED display for immediate recalibration into different styles and settings. It includes gaming features such as Rapid Trigger technology and Key Priority to help you play your best and stay ahead in the gaming technology arms race.

The Logitech G Pro X2 Rapid gaming keyboard is available now in Black, White and Magenta colours for RRP AU$399.95.

Switches

Logitech G’s Pro X2 Rapid contains all-new magnetic analog K520-POM switches designed for maximum speed, precision and low latency. The switches come pre-lubed and offer ultra-precise travel from 0.1mm to 4mm, offering maximum stability and accuracy with no key wobble. Engineered with pros in mind, the switches deliver smooth, direct keystrokes and feature 6-layer sound dampening for a solid, low-volume typing experience.

When gaming, I could definitely tell the difference between this and my older gaming keyboard.  I preferred these due to the smoother, more stable feel of the keys but some prefer the loud clicky sound and the distinct feel of a more traditional key switch.

Customisation

The X2 Rapid offers a wide range of customisation options beyond G HUB. In G HUB, you can edit LIGHTSYNC, the RGB lighting technology behind the keyboard, along with key assignments and macros, analog switches such as actuation points, rapid trigger technology, and key priority. You can also select pro presets for these settings, and switch the keyboard to Game Mode, which helps prevent accidental key presses while gaming.

When I was gaming, I used the key priority settings to help me in intense situations where I used to misclick keys and cost my team the round.  Now, these miscues don’t seem to impact my gameplay. This is especially handy for non-professional gamers who don’t quite have the super-fast and super-accurate key presses down to an art form.

Rapid trigger is certainly something I can get behind and, although other keyboards offer similar options, this was great to have.  Shortening the keypress distance required for an action enhanced my overall speed in the game — always a plus.  Did it really make all that much difference?  Probably not, but it may mean the difference between (in-game) life and death in a close match.

If you have no idea where to start with these settings, you can easily find settings online that different Pros use and you can either emulate theirs or just start with theirs as a baseline.

Design

The X2 Rapid features a new OLED interface in the top-right corner of the keyboard, with a button and a scroll wheel underneath it. This interface lets you quickly switch between saved profiles and settings mid-game without opening G HUB, including actuation points, rapid trigger, key priority, report rate, and game mode. You can also edit volume control and LIGHTSYNC in the interface, and a switch on the right side of the keyboard turns on Game Mode.

I like the new design, and although it is slightly larger than my previous gaming keyboard, it does include a new OLED display for quick reference and settings.  This, combined with the new switches, why the keyboard is wired and not wireless.  The new switches and display require more power than a wireless keyboard can provide without a short battery life.

Accessories

In addition to the keyboard, the box includes a silicone palm rest, a USB-A to USB-C cable for wired connection (the only connection method), spare keycaps, and a switch and keycap remover.

I love a palm rest while gaming, especially for long sessions and am not sure why all manufacturers do not include them as standard with gaming keyboards.  To me, it is an essential item in my gaming setup and I find it can take a lot of strain off your wrists and hands, making them fresher and able to respond and react to inputs faster.

Performance

The keyboard provides an ultra-rapid 8kHz key-scanning rate and USB polling rate to minimise input latency. This makes sure every key pressed is detected and an action is as fast as possible, giving a competitive gamer that slight edge over their opponents. When I used the Pro X2 Rapid, I could easily tell the difference in response times compared with a keyboard without the same specs.

Conclusion

Logitech G has made key improvements with the Pro X2 Rapid, including an ultra-rapid 8kHz key-scanning rate to minimise response times, improved customisation and keyboard design, and switches that deliver maximum speed and precision. These features will likely give you an advantage over opponents, and if you are a competitive gamer or just someone who wants bragging rights over your mates, this may be just what you need.

The Logitech G Pro X2 Rapid is feature-packed, with all the gaming features you may need, and we highly recommend it if you are looking for a competitive edge. It is available now for RRP AU$399.95 in Black, White and Magenta at all good retailers.
