French music platform Qobuz, pronounced “koh-buzz”, has launched in Australia offering Aussies another option to download and stream high quality music — just how the artists intended it to be.

Founded in 2007 Qobuz is designed to provide an unparalleled listening experience, offering the purest sound quality available to stream or download in either CD quality (HiFi or HD) or Hi-Res “studio quality” audio (24-Bit up to 192kHz).

Not only does Qobuz offer a catalogue of millions of tracks in every genre but also over half a million album reviews, artist biographies, musical booklets, interviews, and music news. It is a full service music streaming service that is about more than just the high-quality music streaming. For Australians they have also introduced a range of playlists featuring our local artists.

Australia (and New Zealand) is the 18th country that Qobuz has been launched in joining countries such as France, the UK, Ireland, Germany, and the US. Deputy CEO of Qobuz, George Fornay, said:

“Qobuz aims to bring music back to its true value by offering our subscribers a complete experience that respects the way the artist intends for their music to be enjoyed. We are absolutely thrilled to finally bring Qobuz to Australia, where the expectation for a high quality listening offering such as ours exists – not just amongst consumers, but within the vibrant, diverse and incredibly talented Aussie music industry.”
