Waiting for launch day can be difficult. That’s why Google has officially shown off the Pixel 9 Pro ahead of the August 13th launch.

The phone has been shown off in a teaser video titled ‘Introducing the Google Pixel 9 Pro’ so it’s quite clear what Google is showing off.

The teaser shows the phone, including the redesigned camera bar which harkens back to the Pixel Fold design last year, though it appears to now include the Temperature sensor from the Pixel 8 Pro last year. The phone also appears to sport flatter edges around the display similar to this year’s Pixel 8a.

Of course the teaser starts with Google’s Gemini AI assistant being used to break up with their old phone, a clear indicator that AI will be front and centre with this new generation of phones.

The rumours of three Pixel 9 phones has been circulating for some time, now, though the rumours has firmed up in the past few weeks with renders, as well as a hands-on video with what is purported to be the Pixel 9, and Pixel 9 Pro XL.

The Pixel 9 Pro has been shown off in Black/Obsidian in the above leak, as well as in what we assume is ‘Porcelain’ in a teaser in the video, as well as a new image uploaded on the US Google Store Pixel 9 page

While Google has teased the Pixel 9 Pro, and hasn’t confirmed the Pixel 9 Pro XL, there’s also no mention of the standard Pixel 9. The leaked comparison video shows different materials on the rails and rear of the phone. The Pixel 9 may also come in this lovely pink colour which showed up in Algeria.

Based on the leaks we’ve seen so far, this looks like what we’ve been expecting. Now can we please have the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro XL teasers Google? If they don’t show them off, we’ll see them all on August 13th for the official unveiling.
