Earlier this year, at CES, Roborock announced a robot vacuum, the Saros Z70, with a robotic arm to pick up objects off the floor. Today, they have announced that it is coming to Australia and is available to preorder now. The Roborock Saros Z70 has been announced for Australia and sits alongside the other Saros models, the Saros 10 (already here) and the 10R (coming in May).
Roborock Saros Z70
The robotic arm on the Saros Z70 is the “world’s first mass-produced robotic vacuum featuring OmniGrip” — what Roborock call the robotic arm and claw. The five-axis robotic arm is designed to lift and remove everyday obstacles such as socks, towels and more, as long as the item is under 300 grams in weight.
The arm integrates with the vacuum and its software thanks to Roborock’s StarSight Autonomous System 2.0, an “AI-powered navigation platform that recognizes up to 108 different obstacles and intelligently charts its cleaning path.”
The Saros Z70 is about a lot more than just this new robotic arm. It also offers a powerful 22,000Pa of suction, dual spinning mops, and VertiBeam Lateral Obstacle Avoidance alongside live video monitoring and pet zone detection. At a height of just 7.98cm it can fit under a larger range of furniture, offering a more thorough household clean.
Roborock Saros 10R
The Saros 10R builds on the impressive Saros 10 with an even slimmer robot body. The traditional LDS module that usually sits atop a robot vacuum for navigation is replaced with Roborock’s StarSight Autonomous System 2.0, which provides for real-time, AI-powered mapping.
The Saros 10R can also recognise up to 108 different obstacles and maneuver around them as it cleans your floor. It is complete with 19,000 Pa of suction power, dual spinning mops, and anti-tangle brushes, making it a low-maintenance robot vacuum.
The Soros 10R includes the Multi-function Dock 4.0, which includes hot water mop washing, auto mop removal, smart charging, and self-maintenance functions, enhancing its low-maintenance features.
The Roborock Saros Series is available from today from retail partners and Roborock’s official online store.
