Arlo has announced that the next generation of their home security subscription service is now available in Australia and New Zealand. The new service will include Advanced Audio Detection which harnesses AI technology to implement this groundbreaking feature.
Arlo Secure Plus provides total protection for the user with an intuitive security experience that offers real-world value to the consumer. The subscription level includes a “comprehensive suite of AI features” to help consumers to quickly and clearly understand what is occurring around their property.
The new subscription level expands on the Person Recognition, Vehicle Recognition, and Custom Detection features by adding Advanced Audio Detection. Advanced Audio Detection is able to detect sounds such as screams, gunshots, dog barks, glass breaking, and smoke alarms with each alert designed to provide you with up-to-date awareness of your property.
With each Advanced Audio Detection the user will receive an alert and the ability to quickly check the video to determine if it is an actual threat that they need to act on.
Arlo Secure Plus features are supported on all cameras but at this stage only the Essential Indoor 2K and Wired Floodlight cameras are able to support the new Audio AI. The new features and Arlo Secure Plus will be available this month. A 30-day trial of Arlo Secure Plus is included with the purchase Arlo products.
