Gaming lifestyle brand Razer has announced the latest evolution of their iconic gaming mouse, with the ultra-lightweight DeathAdder V4 Pro.

The Razer DeathAdder gaming mouse is one of their most popular lines ever. Launched in 2006, the line has sold over 20 million units, so when they update the line, it’s a big deal.

The DeathAdder V4 Pro brings a series of advancements to improve gaming performance, developed with direct input from professional players, including the newest member of Team Razer, Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, a Counter-Strike legend with 10 international championship titles.

The updated DeathAdder V4 Pro has a super-light  design – under 60 grams, faster and improved response, updated Focus Pro 45K Optical Sensor Gen-2. Gen-4 Optical mouse switches and Razer’s first Optical Scroll Wheel..

To improve the connectivity, Razer is including their HyperSpeed Wireless Gen-2 technology on a mouse for the first time. This tech offers improved connectivity, with Razer claiming an 37% lower-latency than the previous model.

The mouse has lightning-fast response in both wired, and wireless mode, with the redesigned dongle cycling at up to 8000 Hz for seemingly instant responsiveness. The dongle includes multi-coloured LEDs you can cycling from Green to Red for instant insight into your connectivity, the polling rate, and battery life

The in-built rechargeable battery in the mouse can last up to 150 hours with a 1,000 Hz sampling rate, giving you pro level gaming longer than you need.

It’s an all optical affair on the Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro, with Razer debuting their first Optical Scroll Wheel on the mouse, offering more precise control and the bonus of being three times more reliable than previous design.

Razer is also including the new Gen 4 Optical Mouse Switches which they say has been redesigned for ‘a crisp, enhanced click feel’, which they’ve tested for a 100-million click rating.

The Razer Focus Pro 45K Optical Sensor Gen-2 can track across a number of surfaces, offering you the reliability to use it anywhere. The new sensor offers impressive tracking, with up to 45,000 DPI, 900 IPS, and 85 G, it can deliver an impressive 99.8% resolution accuracy.

The mouse retains its iconic shape, though with refinements to improve comfort and performance, like the split side buttons – helping you avoid any mis-clicks.

You’ll have options on colours – Black or White, with minor differences in weight. The Black will come in at 56 grams, while the White will be slightly heavier at 57 grams, though in-hand – I couldn’t tell the difference.

Razer has increased the PFTE feet on the base of the mouse, ensuring you get smoother glide across all those surfaces.

You can purchase the Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro from today through Razer.com for $299.95 AUD / $349.95 NZD / $169.99 USD.
