Oasis has played two mega shows in Melbourne this past week and as is the modern world the fans in attendance had their phones out to capture the moment and of course to share it!

Sharing images, video and live streaming all uses data, so Telstra crunched the numbers on that data usage and it topped 7.43TB of data. That’s a lot.

If you streamed “(What’s the Story) Morning Glory” on Spotify it would take you 135,610 listens through the whole album before you’d use that much data. And that would take 13 years 🙂

Coldplay tops Oasis with 9.3TB of data used during their two Melbourne shows, but perhaps that’s because fans really tuned into some of the key points of the show?

Telstra’s data shows lower usage – 15% down – during “Don’t look back in Anger”, “Wonderwall”, and “Champagne Supernova”.

The peak of sharing happened as the band hit the stage at 8.30pm and then surged back at 10.30pm when the concert wrapped up

We really do love our phones:)
