Recently, Dreame launched three new robot vacuum models in Australia: the Aqua10 Ultra Roller, the Aqua10 Ultra Track S, and the Matrix10 Ultra.
Collectively, they feature world-first features, including the AutoSeal Roller Guard (to seal the mop and protect carpets) and the Smart Multi-Mop Switching System. As with any new product in 2025, it also features AI to help it clean your home more thoroughly and efficiently.
The new Aqua series features advanced water technology that helps it clean your floor with clean water every time. Each vacuum includes a fluffing roller behind the mop roller, spinning in the opposite direction to loosen the fibres on the roller, ensuring the mop can reach into cracks and crevices. After mopping, when the vacuum is on carpet, the roller mop cover automatically closes to prevent the carpet from getting wet.

NVIDIA powers the new AI Obstacle Intelligence and includes two HD AI cameras to capture depth info to form 3D details and allows them to avoid over 240 recognised objects with precision.

For me, the big-ticket item on the vacuums is the ProLeap System, which lifts the chassis up to 4.2cm. The Robot Retractable Legs are introduced when the robot ‘sees’ a step. The LDS system is also retractable, allowing the vacuum to clean under low objects.
Dreame sent me the Aqua10 Ultra Roller to check out just before release. After using it for the past week or so, I have some thoughts on why I think this is a great robot vacuum.

Setup & Mapping
Setting up the Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller is effortless, as it is with so many vacuums these days. After connecting the vacuum to my network, I set it to map my floor. The mapping was quick, as always but more impressive was how quiet the motor in the vacuum was.
I struggled even to hear it as it traversed my floor – the dogs could, though, and they had a few angry barks at it, which was interesting given they are typically very nonchalant toward robot vacuums, having so many in their lifetimes. It was only during set-up that they weren’t happy with it though, they did not care about it while it was cleaning.
Features

Detangling DuoBrush
Most robot vacuums these days have some form of detangling technology with their rollers and Dreame is no different with the Detangling DuoBrush. This features two rollers that run in opposite directions to prevent hairs of up to 30cm from tangling. With regular vacuuming of hard floors there were no hairs tangled in the rollers.
The big test in my house is the hairy rug in our lounge room. Due to this rug, vacuums, no matter how many anti-tangle systems they have, manage to pick up hair that then wraps around the roller – not enough to stop it working but the hair is there and most likely does affect the effectiveness of the rollers. After a couple of passes over this rug there was not a single hair wrapped around the rollers of the Aqua10 Ultra Roller, so I was very impressed with that. No longer will I need to put a no-go zone over this rug while I have this vacuum.

ProLeap System
While I’m still waiting for a robot vacuum that can climb and clean household stairs, it is great to see vacuums starting to climb to some degree. The Aqua10 Ultra Roller can climb, and although not the height of a full stair yet, it can climb a relatively high step, 4.2cm.
I misread the product material at first and had my self-created step at around the 6cm mark and although it tried to climb it, it failed. After checking the specs, I removed one of the planks of wood to make the step just a tick over 3.5cm, and the vacuum climbed the stairs.
This was my first experience with a climbing vacuum, so I was amazed by how the legs extended from the bottom, raised the vacuum wheels, then gripped the step and helped it climb. It then cleaned that surface and rolled itself off the step. It dismounted at speed, most likely so it didn’t get caught on the way down.
AutoSeal Roller Guard
This is not something that I can check except for the end results. After cleaning a self-made dirty floor, it then cleaned the carpets without depositing any of that wet dirt onto the carpets so I would assume it worked. Dreame recommends vacuuming the floor first before mopping, rather than doing both at once, to help achieve a more effective clean.

Charging Dock
The Dreame charging dock is one of the most stylish vacuums I have used with a lid to hide away the clean and dirty water tanks. This looks great and fits well with the room’s decor. The dock also houses a ‘Multi-Surface Floor Cleaner’ and a pet odour solution to reduce stinky wet-dog smells around your house.
The base station also includes features such as dust bag auto-drying, dirt detection for re-washing and re-mopping, 100°C roller self-cleaning, and 70°C hot air roller drying to prevent bacterial contamination and odours.

How well does it clean?
The Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller features 30,000Pa suction power which is significantly more than most robot vacuums on the market — this is priced right at the pointy end of the market so it should be though.
The cleaning as a general rule was really good, but when I applied various foodstuffs to the floor such as jam, breadcrumbs, and cordial, the Aqua10 Ultra Roller used its AI to avoid the spill because it thought it was an “uncleanable stain” which includes “vomit, faeces and other similar messes” and thus avoided them. The app came up with the warning for this and I was able to click “ignore obstacles,” after which it cleaned the area well.
It did struggle a bit to clean it all up, given the extreme mess the breadcrumbs and cordial made when combined, so I would suggest that if you get a mess this bad to start with, use a cloth or paper towel to give it a quick once-over before starting the robot vacuum.

Final Thoughts
The new Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller offers some amazing specs and features, in fact everything I have seen in a robot vacuum before. Add in a massive 30,000Pa of suction and the ability to climb up to 4.2 cm over smaller steps/barriers.
It cleans as well as any other robot vacuum I have used before and one thing often overlooked, especially considering it usually is out in the open where everybody can see, it looks really stylish.

The Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller is priced at 2,999 AUD, and the Dreame Aqua10 Roller at 2,499 AUD. The Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Track S is priced at 2,999 AUD, while the Dreame Matrix10 Ultra is 3,499 AUD on Dreame’s official website AU and Dreame’s official website NZ, Amazon, and select retailers.
