LG Australia have announced their latest high-end display, with the UltraFine evo 6K (model 32U990A), the world’s first 6K resolution monitor with Thunderbolt 5 connectivity now available for pre-order in Australia.

The monitor comes with a 4-side Virtually Borderless design and is part of LG’s premium UltraFine evo line of monitors, offering high-end, no-compromise displays for professional video editors, graphic designers and other creators who need high quality displays for their content.

The 32-inch display offers ultra-sharp 6K (6,144 x 3,456) resolution with a pixel density of 224 PPI and support for 98 percent of the DCI-P3 colour space and 99.5 percent of Adobe RGB offering creators the chance to show off their best work. The monitor also comes with VESA DisplayHDR  600 certification, and three colour presets for Mac creators.

LG has also include ergonomic tilt and pivot adjustments, which allow creators to adjust the monitor even to a vertical position – making working on, or just watching those vertical Reels or Shorts even easier.

The creative industry in Australia is constantly pushing boundaries, and professionals require tools that can keep pace with their innovative demands,”

said Poh Koh, Marketing Manager for IT at LG Electronics Australia.

At LG, our commitment to innovation is driven by our purpose of creating smart life solutions that enrich lives and empower people to achieve more. The LG UltraFine evo 6K monitor perfectly embodies this vision, offering Australian creators a truly future-proofed display. It redefines their workflow, enabling them to work smarter, faster, and with greater creative freedom, for a more productive and rewarding experience.

Of course the inclusion of Thunderbolt 5 is big news, with the spec set to keep you connected, with the monitor acting as a high-speed hub for SSDs, eGPUs, and other peripherals.

The Thunderbolt 5 port can support up to 120Gbps transfers in Bandwidth Boost mode – with LG saying the monitor supports real-time 4K rendering and rapid transfer of 8K RAW video files making AI-powered video editing and upscaling workflows easy, and fast.

There’s also a built-in KVM switching and multi-port connectivity to enable seamless connectivity and operation on Mac and Windows machines.

The LG UltraFine evo 6K monitor (32U990A) is available now at LG.com/au for RRP $3,399.
