Good news, Bad News. Kayo is putting it’s price up – but only on the premium subscription. The standard Kayo price went up to $30 last year, but next month it drops by 1c to $29.99, but those die hard fans who pay the big bucks for 4K and two streams are up for a price jump of over $5 to $45.99.
These changes kick in from February 5, and while it’s yet another kick in the guts for Sports fans, Kayo – and their owners DAZN know full well – we’ll keep paying!
Sports rights cost money – big money, and this price means the coffers of Kayo are fed, so they can keep bidding for more sports and retain sports they have.
Frankly, it’s a problem that has to come to a head at some stage, but right now, there’s no choice but to pay, or just not see all the sport!
A Kayo Sports spokesperson told EFTM “We are adjusting our subscription prices from February 5, 2026. These changes reflect the cost of sports rights in Australia and internationally and our continued investment in production and commentary, and cutting-edge technology.
We have worked hard to ensure the monthly subscription for entry level Kayo remains the same, ensuring our world leading 50-sports live remains accessible for sport fans, while Premium with 2 streams remains a great option for families.
From February 5 2026, our Standard tier will be $29.99 per month (one stream in HD) and our Premium tier, providing two concurrent streams and 4K quality, will change to $45.99 per month.
Customers have an incredible line up of sport to look forward to.
- Kayo Sports will continue to provide every NRL game, every round, live with enhanced 4K coverage starting with the Season Opener in Las Vegas, plus next month’s World Club Challenge.
- AFL will be bolstered this year with the new AFL Origin clash between WA and VIC in February ahead of an expanded Premiership season with the introduction of the Wildcard Weekend, all live and all in 4K.
- And in 2026, motorsport on Kayo Sports gets even bigger with every Supercars race in the expanded 14-event season live and for the first time, every race in 4K, and a new Formula 1 season where Aussie Oscar Piastri will be out to improve on his third place 2025 finish.
- Plus Suncorp Super Netball, NBL, NBA, NFL, MMA and every Golf Major.
Kayo Sports also continues to invest in improving the user experience, including an all new EPG (Electronic Program Guide) making it easier to navigate through the 50 + sports on offer.“
