It’s all well and good to have the best camera in your pocket, but it’s not much good if you don’t know how to get the most out of it and then translate that into a social media following. For folks who want to up their photography and creator game, Fujifilm is hosting its Creator Summit in Melbourne for the first time in May of this year.
After a sellout last year in Sydney, Melbourne looks set to wow as well, with a packed program featuring talented and innovative creators. Headlining the summit will be podcasters Toni Lodge and Ryan Jon, who will present the keynote on building communities that show up “beyond the lagorithm.” Jord Hammond will also be front and centre, discussing how he transitioned from influencer to a career in photography.

Other presenters include:
- Zara Seidler and Sam Koslowski, co-founders of youth media, The Daily Aus
- Pinterest ANZ, with their Head of Content Partnerships, Jace Molan, and Australia’s top Pinfluencers in tow
- Fujifilm X-Photographer Russell Ord
- Tara Chandra
- Fujifilm X-Photographer Dr Michael Coyne sharing stories from a career at National Geographic, TIME and The New York Times

There will be more than 20 talks, panels, and workshops, with the day encompassing the cultural, craft, and career aspects of the influencing and photography world. Alongside all these informative sessions, partners such as ALPAKA, BenQ, Adobe, ATOMOS, RØDE, NiSi, Leofoto and Nanlite will offer hands-on demos and workshops. Fujifilm House of Photography Pop-Up will also offer event-day deals, free sensor cleaning, and the opportunity to test Fujifilm’s latest X Series.
Your ticket to the event gives you full access to everything on the day, plus a merch bag valued at over $250!
