If you thought LEGO had found all the iconic places, things and brands to partner with to make LEGO sets of – think again, ahead of the FIFA World Cup, a new set of LEGO Editions are coming featuring football legends Ronaldo, Messi, Mbappé and Vini Jnr.
What’s fascinating is, Soccer (yep, I’m just calling it that – deal with it) is a rather simple sport, a player, their jersey and the ball. Of course the field (or pitch) is critical, but a few hundred green blocks with white lines aren’t going to make the most challenging set to build.

Instead, the LEGO Group took a different approach, a step past what they did with the Beatles Art, and created a bunch of sets that draw on the iconic Numbers, colours and styles of the players – these are the kind of things that kids – or adult Soccer fans will have on display.
There aren’t meany bigger names than Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, Lionel Messi, and Vini Jr. in the world of Soccer, and with the FIFA World Cup close – it’s the perfect time to launch.

Alongside the player sets, there’s a FIFA World Cup Official Trophy set too, which the four legends got together to showcase.
There are seven sets based around these players, one for each player which is a “Football Highlights” set with between 490 and 510 peices, is a cinematic snapshot of each player built on a letter shaped base. Those will be $49.99 each.

On top of that, Ronaldo and Messi have “Football Legend” sets which are display scale figures of each with different options for the build. Each of them is $129.99 featuring just shy of 1,000 LEGO pieces.

The seventh set is unique to Messi, a wall-hangable artwork called “Celebration”. At $299.99 it’s for the hard core fans with 1,427 pieces.
