Grand Theft Auto III: 10 Year Anniversary Edition for smartphones

To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the legendary Grand Theft Auto III videogame, Rockstar Games is making you realise just how quickly consoles date by putting the game on your smartphone.

That would be where the negatives end though, as you will now be able to play this classic game wherever you go. The game follows Claude, who was betrayed by his girlfriend in a bank heist and is seeking retribution. You will hit the streets of Liberty City (loosely based on New York City) and let all kinds of unlawful justice loose.

The game will be available on most smartphones and tablets (including iOS and Android) on 15th December. The US price will be $4.99 so expect similar pricing for Australia. What better way to let out some of those Christmas shopping frustrations than smacking some crims?
