When I saw this in Berlin I knew they’d be a hit, and JBL has today confirmed the JBL Junior headphones will be available in Australia in October.

“We’re excited to launch a headphone specifically designed for our youngest audience.” said Marcus Fry, from HARMAN Australia. “The industry has invested exhaustive resources in a broad range of headphones to meet adult preferences, but children’s headphones have often fallen short of the same high quality calibre. With the JBL Jr line, we used JBL’s 70 years of audio heritage to build a quality line of headphones specifically designed for children so they can experience all the beauty that music can bring, while giving parents peace of mind in safety and ergonomics.”
These headphones come in three colour combinations and each come with a sticker pack so your kids can customise them.
The key feature is an 85 decibel volume limit, keeping the kids ears safe.
Plus, for added safety, if the kids run off with the headphones on and plugged into something that’s not moving – one ear cup releases for safety.

The JBL JR300BT (Wireless version) will be just $69.95 while the wired version (JBL JR300) will be $39.95 and you’ll find them in Harvey Norman, The Good Guys, Myer and Bing Lee.
