The Nissan Navara Series III is now dangling even more carrots in front of you. On top of the standard range, Nissan last year launched 500 Navara ST-X N-SPORT variants which all sold out. Now two new special editions have arrived with “Silverline” and “Black” models on sale from October 1. The 1800 units will be based on the Dual Cab 4X4 SL. Nissan join the likes of ToyotaHolden and Ford when it comes to adding otherwise aftermarket gear to utes.

The extra fruit added to these accessorised mid-spec models come at a cost with the Black priced from $48,690 driveaway for private buyers. It includes:

  • black 18-inch alloy wheels with dealer fitted all-terrain tyres
  • black sports bar
  • black wheel arch flares
  • black nudge bar
  • LED light bar
  • soft tonneau cover
  • protective tub liner
  • black front grille
  • black mirror caps
  • black fog lamp surrounds
  • smoked bonnet protector
  • mobile phone holder
  • black body decals

If you elect for the $39,490 driveaway Silverline variant, you’ll add:

  • 16-inch alloy wheels – replacing standard steel wheels
  • a polished alloy sports bar
  • mobile phone holder
  • ‘Silverline’ tailgate badging

“The market has spoken, and it wants more accessory options on their favourite Nissan,” said Nissan Australia managing director, Stephen Lester.

“The Navara ST-X N-Sport model was popular, and the recent X-TRAIL, Pathfinder and 370Z Black Editions have helped build our Brand presence and increase vehicle enquiry.

“Nissan is open to the introduction of more special editions and will always strive to give buyers what they want.”

The Nissan Navara 4X4 ST Black Edition is available with five colours, Polar White, Brilliant Silver*, Cosmic Black, Slate Grey* and Burning Red. The Silverline scores the same but skips Slate Grey.

Both models use the 2.3-litre -turbo diesel engine with 140kW / 450Nm.

Other handy standard features include a rear-view camera, automatic dimming rear-view mirror, electronic rear differential lock, privacy glass, LED headlights and daytime running lamps, Bluetooth and cruise control.

The ST Black Edition gets the larger seven-inch colour touchscreen with satellite navigation while the Silverline settles for just a five-inch display.
