Jeep Australia has today announced it’s launching 100 Grand Cherokee S-Limited models with a thumping 5.7L HEMI V8 engine under the bonnet, available in two variants.

Director of Brand & Product Stategy Guru Guillaume Drelon said, “We’re thrilled to offer two new limited-edition Jeep Grand Cherokees giving customers a choice of either a more premium, refined and fuel-efficient option with the S-Overland 3.0L V6 Diesel or a high-performance model with the S-Limited HEMI V8 Engine. Both provide a class leading 3,500kg towing capacity,”

So, what makes the Grand Cherokee S-Limited so special? In terms of aesthetics it scores an SRT performance sports bonnet, granite crystal and black grille, gloss black roof rails, day light opening mouldings and mirror caps giving it a bold stance.

Inside the cabin the seats are adorned with unique “Heritage” leather with liquid titanium accents. Look up and you’ll see a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. If you’re picky about colours well too bad because you only get a choice of two, Bright White and Diamond Black.

I’ll admit that it’s actually a nice change to get away from all the EV talk of late. This beast pumps out 259kW and 520Nm to all four wheels. The towing capacity is rated at 3,500kg braked.

Additionally, the Jeep Grand Cherokee S-Overland hasn’t missed out on some glam. Via  new styling updates including darkened design features both inside and out. To fill out the wheel arches 20-inch Granite Crystal rims are fitted as standard along with LED fog lamps, aggressive black chrome trapezoidal exhaust tips and other bespoke bits and pieces.

S-Overland models are powered by Jeep’s 3.0L V6 Turbo EcoDiesel engine, that produces 184kW and 570Nm of torque to all four wheels with a towing capacity of 3,500kg.

The cabin also receives the royal treatment via SRT black Nappa leather seats plus suede door bolsters and a 19-Speaker Harmon Kardon Sound System.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee S-Limited is priced from $82,950 while the S-Overland weighs in at $71,450.
