Samsung is bringing laptops back to Australia with the new Galaxy Book S

After several years of being out of the Laptop/PC market in Australia, Samsung are back. Later this year the new Galaxy Book S will launch in Australia.

You don’t need to look at it too hard to see it’s a MacBook Air challenger but under the hood it’s like a mobile device on steroids.

Running a 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon processor this is not your average laptop – but you’ll not likely notice any of that as it’s running Windows in full with Windows Hello login, A 13.3 inch touch-screen and critically – Mobile Connectivity.

Via a Nano-SIM you can ensure your laptop is online all the time when you’re in mobile coverage.

Battery life looks epic, with 23 hours of video playback time (when not on WiFi or 4G), and it should sound good with AKG tuned speakers including Dolby Atmos.

Big boss at Samsung DJ Koh says“At Samsung, we believe that true innovation is only possible through an open, collaborative approach where partners are aligned and motivated to break down barriers and redefine the computing experience,”

“Galaxy Book S combines the best mobility features Samsung has to offer with Microsoft’s leading productivity solutions and Qualcomm Technologies’ performance capabilities to deliver the best mobile productivity experience available in a mobile device today.”

The Galaxy Book S is launching Earthy Gold and Mercury Gray – it should hit Australia by Christmas.
