It is that time of the year again, when your kids get the chance to win cold hard cash for themselves and their school – while getting their heads around online and digital safety through the annual Trend Micro “What’s Your Story?” competition.

The idea is really simple. Kids aged between 8 and 12 years old are challenged to draw a poster answering the question posed this year which is “How can I be a good digital citizen?”

There is a lot to unpack there, so for kids this means understanding what a Digital Citizen is and then considering what it takes to be good.

While the competition is not run specifically through schools, teachers are encouraged to take part, because not only are there cash prizes for the kids, but also their school.

Your kids have two months to enter, and also then encourage family and friends to “Like” their entry on the Trend Micro site.

After that, it goes to the judges, and EFTM will be represented at the judging table by non other than yours truely.

So – get your kids entering, tell your school, tell the teachers you know. There is a great opportunity for learning and prizes all in one go!
