Motorola has today announced the Australian availability details for two new handsets, the one macro and G8 Plus.

Both phones will be available via the Motorola online store and at selected retailers, with the one macro priced at $299 and available from today, while the G8 Plus will sell for $499 with sales beginning on the 31st of October.

one macro
As the ‘macro’ name suggests, the Motorola one macro is focused on close-up photography, with its 13MP main sensor, 2MP depth sensor and 2MP macro camera. This stacked array is able to deliver stunning image quality in full focus from just 2cm away from the subject says Motorola.

The $299 price tag includes a massive 6.2-inch ‘Max Vision’ HD+ resolution display, which uses a tear drop notch to house the 8MP selfie camera on the front. You also get 4GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage which can be expanded through a microSD card slot. A 4,000mAh battery should keep you going for up to a day and a half according to Motorola.

You’ll be able to nab yourself a Motorola one macro in Spaceship Blue & Ultraviolet from Officeworks, The Good Guys and Motorola online, or in Spaceship Blue only from Mobileciti and JB Hifi.

Motorola G8 Plus
The G8 Plus continues Motorola’s successful line of G-series handsets, offering users a high-end night photography experience without breaking the bank.

At $499 the phone includes a big 48MP main camera sensor which is up to 4x low light sensitivity, allowing you to capture those important memories even in low-light.

Powered by a Snapdragon 665 processor, with 4GB of memory, the phone also has Dolby tuned speakers for clearer, and louder music with up to 50% louder bass.

The G8 Plus includes a battery capable of up to 40 hours life on a single charge, and uses Motorola’s Turbo Power charging to get you up to 8 hours of charge in just 15 minutes.

You’ll be able to get your hands on the Motorola G8 Plus from October 31st for $499 in Cosmic Blue from Officeworks, The Good Guys, Mobileciti and Motorola online.
