Australia’s longest running beer festival – Beer Fest – has announced they’re back in Melbourne next month, with the festival kicking off on February 29th at Catani Gardens, St Kilda.
The festival is aimed at beer, cider, wine and spirit lovers, with over 50 craft brewers, cider makers, wine makers and distillers, including St Andrews Beach and Darraweit Cider offering their craft brews and ‘other one-off unique creations’.
The family friendly event includes entertainment for everyone with comedy acts including Danielle Walker, Luke Mcgregor and more, as well as roving entertainment and live music. Headlining the festival entertainment will be ARIA-award winning band Art vs Science who have partnered with BeerFest, Burnley Brewing and CryerMalt for a one-off beer which will be sold on-site during BeerFest.
The festival is a great chance to taste new brews, but attendees will also have the chance to learn about beer and the art of brewing through masterclasses and tastings lead by industry leaders. Festival goers can also check out sessions including ‘Beer Sensory and Evaluation’ with Cicerone certified team members, ‘Discover the Art of Brewing’ with BrewArt and loads more.
