At CES, HP has announced a new partnership with Tile which will allow you to find your laptop, even when it’s offline.

The multi-year deal will begin with the just announced HP Elite Dragonfly, the World’s first business convertible. Though only available for commercial purchases, the HP Elite Dragonfly includes 5G and Tile’s findable device tech powered by Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

The laptop will come with a new Tile Windows app installed, with users tapping into the Tile mobile app to track their laptop along with their keys and other Tile enabled devices and trackers.

Tile enabled laptops will also be added into the Tile ‘crowd’ feature, which allows other Tile users to send an anonymous update with the location to the item’s owner when they come within range.

This announcement with HP comes at a time when Tile is rapidly expanding our embedded business,” said “We are pleased to innovate alongside industry leaders to make valuable, everyday devices like laptops findable

Tile is looking to double the number of partners integrating their tracking technology this year. Currently Tile integration can be found in some Samsonite, Bose and Sennheiser products.
