Following the announcement of their 2020 flagship P40 series last month, the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro are now available to buy at retailers around Australia.
The P-series phones have always had a great camera heritage; and Huawei is coming out with all guns blazing on the camera front for the P40-series launching the phones with ‘Visionary Photography’.

Huawei has partnered again with Leica. Together they’ve co-engineered a new camera array that includes a 50MP Ultra Vision Camera with Wide Angle lens on both models as the main sensor. The P40 Pro also includes a 40MP Cine Camera, 12MP SuperSensing Telephoto Camera and 3D Depth sensor, while the P40 gets a 16MP Ultra-Wide Angle secondary Camera with 8MP sensor with Telephoto.
Huawei is bringing their superzoom tech from the P30 Pro to the P40 series with a 30x Digital Zoom on the P40, while the P40 Pro gets a 50x Super-Sensing Zoom.
The phones are plenty powerful with a HiSilicon Kirin 990 5G processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Huawei has instead moved to Huawei App Gallery to deliver apps however there’s a few gaps in their library at the moment, but they hope to bridge that gap.
