After launching in the US back in April, Google has finally brought their Pixel Buds 2 to Australia, with the buds now available to buy from the Google Store online for $279.
The Pixel Buds 2 are the second generation of headphones for Google, though this time they’ve gone the TWS (Totally Wireless Stereo) option running on Bluetooth 5. They’ve got Google Assistant built-in, including real-time Google Translate support for up to 40 languages.
If you don’t want to tell Google Assistant to change volume, pause etc. then you can also use a range of swipe gestures on either ear-bud.
The buds come in a charging case which includes 5 hours of battery life with a total of 24 hours. You can also get up to two hours listening time with a brief 10-minute charge.
With custom 12mm drivers, the Pixel Buds 2 have the right hardware for big sound. They also include Adaptive Sound will help keep your volume at the right level no matter what’s happening around you.
The buds are IPX4 water resistant, so you can sweat your heart out in a big work out and have a silicon stabiliser fin to keep them in your ear.
At the moment Google is only offering the Pixel Buds in ‘Clearly White’, but other colour options may become available down the track – Google Australia hasn’t announced anything as yet.
