One of the bonuses of having Amazon launch in Australia is access to their famous ‘Prime Day’ sale which sees massive discounts on huge ranges of products. Now Amazon has announced the dates for Prime Day 2020, and we’re getting not just a day, but 66 hours of bargains.
The Amazon Australia Prime Day 2020 sale will run for 48 hours from midnight AEDT on Tuesday 13 October until 11.59PM AEDT on Wednesday 14 October. That’s not all though with the fun continuing, with Aussies able to access the Amazon Global Store for further deals until 6pm AEDT on Thursday, 15 October.
We can of course expect to see deals on a range of Amazon devices, as well as consumer electronics, pantry food and drink, toys, fashion, beauty
and more. Discounts will hit brands like bargains from the likes of Bosch, Huggies, Samsung, Gobe and Zenify.
As well as big brands, Amazon is focusing on smaller local retailers this year. Amazon is featuring their ‘Shop Local’ store-front which has products from hundreds of Australian small businesses, as well as new curated collections from local brands such as 123 Nourish Me from Perth and Sofi Spritz from regional New South Wales.
Matt Furlong, Country Manager for Amazon Australia, said, “We’re excited to offer Australian Prime members the chance to access fantastic savings across tens of thousands of products from international and Aussie brands across all categories for Prime Day this year. In addition, to help customers discover more local brands on Amazon.com.au, we are proud to put small Australian businesses front and centre through our ‘Shop Local’ store on Prime Day and beyond.”
Amazon is ‘priming’ (hah) for the big ‘day’ of sales with a number of Amazon deals live now:
To access the Prime Day sales you’ll need Amazon Prime membership which costs $6.99 per month or $59 per year, but starts with a free 30-day trial for new users.
