The GT Line spec Kia Picanto we drove here at EFTM is under $20k, but the entry level S line kicks off at $16,990.
For that, you get Autonomous Emergency Braking, ABS, Hill Start Assist, Emergency Stop Signal, Reverse Parking sensors, Rear view camera as well as Driver and Passenger Airbags, Front side airbags, Curtain airbags and all that guff.
But there were three things that really, really tipped me over the edge here.
Price, tick.
Looks, Tick – this new 2021 model is a really nice looking unit.
Tech, Tick – ladies and gentlemen, WIRELESS APPLE CARPLAY and WIRLESS ANDROID AUTO.
There is no cheaper car with that Wireless Smartphone connectivity, and frankly, it sets a new benchmark.
If your car has Apple CarPlay but it’s not wireless – why not? If Kia can do it – everyone should. Simple as that.
