Last year OPPO released the Find X2 Pro and it was a hit — in fact it was my favourite phone of the year. OPPO has a tough act to follow this year but is looking to do so with the Find X3 Pro and a massive camera if today’s leak is to be believed.
Perennial leaker Evan Blass has got his hands on what look to be official renders of the OPPO Find X3 Pro showing it off from the rear and a glimpse of the front.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888-powered flagship from OPPO is set to arrive with a massive camera hump on the rear, housing a quad camera setup.
At this stage it is unclear just what the camera lens make up will be but rumours (and Evan) suggest it will house a 25x zoom “microscope” macro lens and two, yes two, 50MP Sony lenses that are yet to be announced.
The front of the device shows off a single lens selfie camera, housed in a punch hole of a 6.7-inch 1440P display. The display is expected to support the 120Hz refresh rate but unfortunately, for those of us who dislike the curved display fad, the display looks to curve around to the side of the phone.
OPPO have always had the fastest charging of any smartphone available in Australia and that looks set to continue with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 support along with VOOC Air rapid wireless charging (30W) — expect to have to buy a wireless charger of OPPO’s making if you want such speeds.
The OPPO Find X3 Pro is expected to release in late March / early April in black, white and blue colours. It will also release alongside a Find X3 Neo and a Find X3 Lite (or Reno5).
We look forward to seeing the Find X3 Pro land here in Australia and with OPPO’s smartphone cameras improving every year surely that huge camera hump will bring even more improvement?
