Samsung launches updated A Series smartphones including their cheapest 5G phone yet.

Samsung is setting out to crush the competition with a stunning lineup of mid-tier smartphones launching next month in Australia. The New Galaxy A Series incudes Samsung’s cheapest 5G phone and plenty of impressive features.

Coming in three colours, Black, Blue and Purple, the A Series features three models, and within them a total of six variants.

The entire Samsung Galaxy A Series range goes on sale from April 9 at Samsung and major retailers, as is customary, Samsung is also offering an incentive to buy, with a $319 set of Galaxy Buds Live going out to anyone who buys a Galaxy A Series phone between April 9 and April 23.

Samsung Galaxy A32

The A32 will come in 4G and 5G variants, and while both carry the same price the premium 5G still looks exceptional value despite a slightly lower grade screen.

Both devices feature a quad camera rear system, the Standard Galaxy A32 has a 64MP main camera, compared to the 48MP on the 5G variant. On the standard the screen is a 6.4 inch Super AMOLED with a 90Hz refresh rate, while the 5G has a 6.5inch HD+ display.

Both have 15W fast charging of the 5,000mAh battery, both have 128GB of storage while the 5G version has 2GB less ram with 4GB on board.

Amazingly, the $499 Galaxy A32 features an in-screen fingerprint reader too.

Samsung Galaxy A52

There are three Galaxy A52 devices.

1. Galaxy A52 – 128GB Storage, 8GB Ram – $599
2. Galaxy A52 5G – 128GB Storage, 6GB Ram – $649
3. Galaxy A52 5G – 256GB Storage, 8GB Ram – $749

Each features the Infiniti O Display, at 1080 x 2400 within a 6.5 inch Super AMOLED Screen.

On the 5G models though you’ll get an impressive 120Hz refresh rate which will impress many.

Samsung Galaxy A72

At $749, the value in this phone is excellent. While not 5G, it comes with 256GB Storage, 8GB Ram and a massive 6.7 inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate

The camera on the Galaxy A72 is flagship quality. 64MP with Autofocus and Optical Image Stabilisaion on the main camera. 12MP ultra-wide and a 3x Optical Zoom telephoto lens along with the 5MP Macro lens.

While the $749 pricetag doesn’t get you 5G, this phone will appeal to those with Galaxy S9 or S8 devices, which are blown out of the water by the features of the Galaxy A72.

The Mid-Tier Market

Samsung is attempting to crush their opposition here. Their brand dominance gives them credibility and status with potential buyers.

JB HiFi lists 57 phones from 10 different brands between $400 and $800. Samsung will sell close to 50% of all those sold if their market trend continues.
