Arguably the best value for money phone last year was the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (Fan Edition) with it delivering amazing hardware, camera experience and a great user experience for a much cheaper price than its premium counterparts.
This year when Samsung release the Fan Edition of the Galaxy S21 all eyes will be on what corners they have cut to help it meet its much more affordable price range. Today we have seen renders leak showing the Galaxy S21 FE and its three large and hopefully extremely capable rear cameras.
The new leak shows a familiar design with what appears to be a frosted “glastic” rear panel (a fancy way of saying plastic but a premium plastic?). The frame is apparently a shiny metal frame with the phone measuring a decent 155.7 x 74.5 x 7.9mm in size making it slightly bigger than the Galaxy S21. The rear camera bump appears to be integrated into the rear panel but does protrude out 1.4mm.
The rear cameras setup includes three large cameras and although it appears the same as that in the Galaxy S21 it is expected to include slightly downgraded lenses to meet the lower price point. I would expect it to still produce some amazing pictures though as Samsung have once again been producing phones with amazing photography chops in recent years and they would not want to stray too far from this formula no matter the price drop.
The display which, considering Samsung make the best displays in the world, will no doubt leave no one disappointed. It is expected to be a large 6.4-inch flat display (slightly larger than the Galaxy S21) with the selfie camera situated in the centre of the display at the top.
With Samsung set to repeat last year’s formula for the Galaxy S21 FE this year you can expect it to once again be a great success. We will of course be checking it out and if your budget cannot extend to the price of the premium devices the Samsung Fan Edition may get you great bang for your buck.
