Uniden releases new dashcams with sign recognition & slim form factor

Uniden has released a new series of their iGO cam dashcams with advanced features, wide recording angle and a wide LCD colour screen.

Recording 2K video the Uniden iGO Cam 75 has a 135 degree viewing angle so you’re getting a clear view of more than just the road in front. If you choose the iGO Cam 75R you also get a rear-view camera with a 150 degree viewing angle and Full HD resolution.

If you’re someone with multiple cars and want to choose where the dashcam goes day to day or drive to drive, then the magnetic slide bracket allows that for simplicity.

Perhaps the best feature of the Uniden Smart Dash Cams is the Uniden iGO app which allows you to wirelessly access your Dash Cam footage from your smartphone.

New to dashcams at this price point is the Ai sign recognition. The camera can see the speed signs on the road, and display the current speed and any speed alerts helping you stay within the limit.

You’ll also get red-light camera warnings and even prompts to turn on headlights in low-light.

Interestingly, the iGO Cam 75 and 75R are both powered by a super-capacitor which should produce a longer lifespan and wider range of operating temperature than traditional lithium-ion batteries. With Australia’s extreme heat, that’s critical.
