If you’re in NSW or Victoria we know that a large part of the last few months has been made up of discussions about “where to go” once freedom hits. Well, with QLD and WA acting all smug and locked down, it seems the Northern Territory has the right idea, offering an incentive to get Vaccinated Aussies up and at it.

Tourism NT is the first Aussie tourism body to offer an incentive to vaccinated Australians any sort of incentive – in this case savings of up to $1,000.

You’re looking at a $200 discount on every $1,000 spent on a Northern Territory booking when using retail travel partners such as Helloworld or Holidays of Australia.

And it’s not just a two week window either, the sale runs from 1 October through to 31 March next year.

Of course, Tourism NT’s Executive Director of Marketing Tony Quarmby said the NT was the best place to be this summer.

“Summer is an exciting place in the Northern Territory, and we know there are many people around the country that haven’t had the chance to book a holiday, to experience something new, or go somewhere different.

“With over $2.3 million in savings made during last year’s NT Summer Sale, this is the perfect opportunity to book the trip you’ve been waiting for and explore the Top End and Red Centre at this incredibly rare, low price.

“With the tourism industry heavily impacted by the global COVID-19 pandemic and border restrictions we’re encouraging Australians to come to the NT this summer and have the adventure of a lifetime.”

What do you reckon? Time for a trip up north?
