Sony has been right at the pointy end of the premium headphone market for a while now and has now introduced two new pairs to their wireless range — the WF-C500 and the WH-XB910N.
WF-C500 True Wireless Headphones
The WF-C500 are designed to be small, comfortable and easy to use while delivering a premium sound experience thanks to Sony’s DSEE (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine). The equaliser setting can also be altered based on your listening preferences and the type of music you are listening to.
Their rounded, small size makes them comfortable to wear for long periods of time without the fear of pain nor them falling out. With support for Google Assistant and Siri via the buttons on the sides of them they can provide up to ten hours of battery life in just the headphones only. The charging case can deliver another 10 on top of that — 10 minutes of quick charging in the case provides for an extra hour of use in the earbuds.
With an IPX4 water resistant rating they are perfect for the gym or any outdoor activity. With their Bluetooth 5 support they offer the ability to use either earbud in a single ear while the other is in the charging case.

WH-XB910N Over-head Headphones
The Sony WH-XB910N offer exceptional bass with even better noise cancelling than before allowing you to immerse yourself in your listening experience just the way you like it. Each headphone has a bass duct on it to create that deep bass while still able to provide vocal clarity thanks to the driver units and the over the ear seal.
They include two built in microphones to precisely pick up your voice with an improved clarity. The headphones themselves also include Adaptive Sound Control which senses where you are and what you are doing at the time and adjust the sound settings accordingly — even while in a noisy gym or cafe.
Offering a massive 30 hours of battery life their quick charge function will provide you with a decent 4.5 hours of playback from a small 10 minute charge (with the optional AC adapter but I’m sure most AC adapters will work).
One addition that many of us are after these days is multi-point connection, allowing the headphones to be paired with two Bluetooth devices at the same time — for example, phone and laptop. The side panels on each ear cup offer touch controls with the ability to change track, adjust volume and take or make calls just by tapping or swiping on the panel.
This time the headphones support Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa and with the soft earcups promise to be headphones that you can wear and use for an extended period of time. Sony include a hard carry case to transport the headphones safely wherever you go.
