Here in Barcelona the main focus of the Mobile World Congress show is on the deals, and the networks – but there’s always a few new devices launched or showcased at the show and because we’re on the ground at the show, we’ve got our hands on a few to check out.

This is a glimpse at the next few months of devices really, with these three I’ve grabbed from Oppo, TCL and Nokia all likely to go on sale in the next month or so.

Starting with the Oppo Find X5 Pro, you can read all the details here in our launch article, but man, this is a Sweet unit.

Design is familiar to those who know the brand but for someone who comes from literally any other phone this will stand out.

The curved edges to the camera island are a feature, and the gloss single colour back is a dream.

Of course, the Hasselblad partnership is key to being able to claim strong camera credentials. We’ll test that out when production versions hit Australia.

At first glance though, the screen is a stunner, design is great and it’s clear Oppo has a contender here with the Find X5.

Taking a look at the TCL 30+, again, this is fantastic for the price. We expect a sub $400 price point when it’s announced for Australia, and there’s something really cool about the back of this phone. It’s a semi-gloss with what looks like texture but feels smooth as silk. Love it.

Plus the camera bump isn’t outrageous, and has a core key lens at 50MP to really stand out.

Around the front, that NXTVISION screen really pops from the get go. I reckon TCL are a contender in this mid-low price space in 2022.

And finally, for just $199 pre-paid at Vodafone ($299 unlocked at retail) the Nokia G21 is a great little device.

Triple lens camera on the back a great feel to the phone, teardrop front camera and most importantly, a three-year warranty – that’s unheard of.

Nokia (HMD) are making great phones, very clean Android install without any bloat and a basic workhorse at a great price.

Full reviews of all these phones soon!
