Samsung’s storage devices are incredibly popular, and they are set to continue to be so with the announcement of new products in their external storage range coming to market this month.

The new products are designed to be ideal for outdoor content creators or travellers who need “powerful and generous data storage” without having to worry about the data being damaged from bumps, scrapes, spills and splashes.

The new products include:

  • Portable SSD T7 Shield is the latest in external storage offers durable (shock resistant from drops of three metres), reliable storage that is IP65 dust and water resistant and is compatible with multiple devices including PC, Android smartphones and gaming consoles.
    The T7 Shield offers read/write speeds of up to 1,050MB/s and 1,000MB/s, twice as fast as its predecessor, the T5 and comes in sizes of up to 2TB and in beige, black and blue colours, The 1TB will cost you $239 and the 2TB $459 with both coming with a three-year warranty.
  • Samsung Pro Endurance microSD card is designed to offer the endurance and high performance that everyone wants in a microSD card with their important data and memories. The PRO Endurance can in fact deliver up to 16 years of continuous recording time so that you don’t miss any special moments. This results in future savings with the customer not having to replace the PRO Endurance anywhere near as often.
    The PRO Endurance microSD card offers read, write speeds of up to 100MB/s and 40MB/s respectively and is a class 10 card with U3 and V30 video speed ratings. Available in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB pricing will range from $19.95 to $119.95.
  • USB Type-C Flash Drive is designed for the USB-C port found in so many devices these days. It is backward compatible with USB 3.0/2.0 and delivers speeds of up to 400MB/s USB 3.1 read speeds. Available in blue and storage capacities of 64, 128 and 256GB with prices ranging at $24.95 for the 64GB and to $80 for the 256GB.

The new drives are available now at and will be available in retail stores in July.
