If you’re the sort of person who likes to change things up in how your home looks, the new LG MoodUp fridge featuring colour-changing LED door panels announced at IFA is definitely for you.
The MoodUp refrigerator will have a combination of a Lux Gray and Lux White colour display when the LED panels aren’t in use, but using the LG ThinQ app, you can choose from 22 colours for the upper door panels and 19 colours for the lower door panel – or select from preset colour themes like Season, Place, Mood and Pop.
The fridge also has a bluetooth speaker inside, letting you stream music from your favourite music streaming services – and the LED panels can pulse in sync with the music, making it a great party centrepiece.
The panels are also functional, flashing when the door sensor detects that the door hasn’t been closed properly, or blinking when someone approaches. It also helps if you’re after a late night snack, with the freezer door lighting up at night as a handy beacon in the dark.
The LG MoodUp refrigerator still has all the great LG refrigerator features and smart tech the company has developed over the years to keep your food fresh and also includes the Knock Knock fridge door which lets you see inside it by knocking – it just offers a new look when you need it.

There’s no announcements on when we’ll see these fridges in Australia, or their price, but they look like a fun idea for the kitchen.
