Samsung has announced that the first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2023 will take place on February 1st in the US, where we’ll get our very first look at what is likely to be the Galaxy S23 series.

The event will take place in San Francisco at around 5 a.m. AEDT on February 2nd, with the event simultaneously live-streamed on the Samsung YouTube channel. Though Samsung hasn’t outright announced the Galaxy S23 will be shown off at the event, the teaser shows a series of spotlights which appear similar to the triple rear camera on Samsung’s most recent Galaxy S-series phones.

The event will likely show off at least three devices, the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra – if previous years are anything to go by. Rumours for the Galaxy S23 Ultra seem to indicate a 200MP main camera sensor will headline the device, with the possibility of an ultra-bright display and even satellite connectivity

Samsung Australia has opened up a reservation page on their Australian website where you can enter your details and receive bonus Samsung Care+ valued up to $249 when you order a device.

You will be able to pre-order the Galaxy S23 from the 2nd of Feb, with the launch date for the Galaxy S23 looking like February 17th – according to the reservation page which lists the pre-order dates from 2nd Feb – 16th Feb.

We’ll bring you all the details on the next Galaxy devices from the event as they happen, so stay tuned.
